The 2024 "Understanding China" International Conference was held in Guangzhou's Yuexiu International Conference Center from December 2 to 4. The conference, themed "Carrying Reform to the End - China's Modernization and New Opportunities for World Development," brought together world-renowned politicians, scholars, industry leaders, and representatives of international organizations to explore the important historical mission and world significance of China's modernization in promoting the world's modernization process and to showcase the distinctive features, practical paths, and vivid scenarios of China's modernization, injecting more Chinese wisdom and contemporary power into the world in times of turmoil and change.

Education modernization is considered a key component of China's modernization. On the first day of the conference, Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO of the World Education Innovation Summit (WISE), accepted an interview with the 21st Century Business Report. He said that Chinese education has two characteristics: on the one hand, it adheres to historical traditions such as values and culture; on the other hand, it pursues technological innovation and other future developments. Mr. Yiannouka believes that China's education openness will allow the world to touch and understand these highly attractive development trends.
