Central Govt Clarifies NPS Gratuity Rules for Employees Resigning

The Central Government has issued clarification on the eligibility criteria for National Pension System (NPS) subscribers to receive gratuity and death gratuity. The criteria include completing five years of qualifying service and retiring under certain circumstances. If a subscriber resigns, past service may be forfeited unless the resignation is allowed to be withdrawn in the public interest or to take up another appointment under the government.
