Centerra Gold shares plummet after metallurgical facilities explosion

Centerra Gold Ltd. shares jumped 10% after reporting earnings, with BMO analyst seeing "green shoots" from vast AI spending. However, RBC Capital Markets analyst Josh Wolfson maintained his price target of $19 due to an explosion at its Langeloth metallurgical facilities, which shut down operations. Wolfson estimated a corporate hit to EBITDA of three per cent for every quarter of downtime at the facility. Shares closed Friday at $22.81.
