Cellebrite names David Barter CFO

Cellebrite, a leading provider of digital investigative solutions, has appointed David Barter as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Barter succeeds Dana Gerner, who has been in the role since 2014. Gerner will remain in an advisory role until the company reports its second-quarter 2025 financial results.

Barter brings over three decades of public company financial leadership experience, with a focus on scaling global software companies. He has held senior finance positions at Microsoft, General Electric, and Guidewire Software, and served as CFO at New Relic and C3.ai. His most recent role was as CFO at New Relic, where he played a key role in driving the company's growth to nearly $1 billion in annual revenue and supporting a successful $6.5 billion sale of the business.

Barter will be responsible for Cellebrite's financial operations, including financial planning, accounting, reporting, treasury, corporate development, investor relations, and operations. He reports directly to CEO Thomas E. Hogan.

"On behalf of the full board, our employees, and our shareholders, I want to thank Dana Gerner for her dedication, professionalism, passion, and performance," said Hogan. "The Company owes Dana an enormous debt of gratitude and wishes her every success as she embarks on a new and exciting chapter in her life."

Cellebrite will report its second-quarter 2025 financial results on Thursday, August 14, 2025, with a live conference call and webcast scheduled for the same morning. The event will provide an update on strategic initiatives, including the recently announced acquisition of Corellium.
