CCI Approves Merger of Udemy with Coursera's Subsidiary Chess Merger Sub

The Competition Commission of India has approved the merger of Coursera's arm Chess Merger Sub with Udemy Inc. After the merger, Udemy will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coursera, with existing Coursera shareholders owning approximately 59% and Udemy stockholders owning about 41% of the combined company. The merger has an implied equity value of around USD 2.5 billion.
