Cboe Global Markets Introduces New Prediction Markets Framework and Proposes Extended Trading Hours for US Equities

Cboe Global Markets introduced a new prediction markets framework that moves beyond traditional binary outcomes and allows traders to earn partial returns for being directionally correct. The framework is expected to launch in Q2 2026 with a Mini S&P 500 contract. Additionally, Cboe has filed a proposal with the SEC to launch near 24×5 trading for U.S. equities on its EDGX Exchange, pending regulatory approval.
