Carnival Cruise Line has officially unveiled Celebration Key, a $600M exclusive destination in Grand Bahama. The grand opening ceremony, attended by nearly 5,000 guests on board Carnival Vista, marked the first official visit to the world's newest premier cruise port [4]. The event showcased the unique features of Celebration Key, including the iconic 10-story Suncastle, the world's largest swing and swim-up bar, and the Caribbean's largest freshwater lagoons.

The destination is divided into five distinct areas: Paradise Plaza, Starfish Lagoon, Calypso Lagoon, Lokono Cove, and Pearl Cove Beach Club. Paradise Plaza serves as the central hub, welcoming guests with live music. Starfish Lagoon, designed for families, features one of the two largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean, along with sports courts and the Suncastle's body slides. Calypso Lagoon caters to adults, offering a dedicated area, DJ Island, and the world's largest swim-up bar. Lokono Cove is a shopping village, while Pearl Cove Beach Club is an adults-only retreat [4].

Celebration Key is expected to bring approximately two million guests to Grand Bahama in its first year, generating significant revenue for the local economy [1, 2, 3]. The destination is set to welcome 20 Carnival ships from ten U.S. homeports, further contributing to the economic benefits of the island [1, 2, 3].

The opening ceremony was livestreamed and featured speeches from Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy, Carnival Corporation CEO Josh Weinstein, Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal, and Carnival Vista Captain Paolo Severini. The event marked the completion of the first phase of Carnival's initial $600M investment in Celebration Key, with more phases planned for future development [4].
