CargoSprint Acquires Dray Dog Scheduling Platform to Enhance Logistics Efficiency

CargoSprint, a provider of logistics and transportation management solutions, has acquired Dray Dog, a digital appointment scheduling platform used by drayage carriers in the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports. The acquisition aims to integrate Dray Dog's tool into CargoSprint's existing offerings, streamlining appointment scheduling and improving operational efficiency for freight movements in a critical U.S. import-export corridor. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The move comes amid ongoing challenges in global supply chains, including delays at major ports and fluctuating carrier performance. For instance, ocean carrier on-time arrivals at global ports declined in January 2026, according to industry data firm Xeneta. Such disruptions highlight the demand for tools that reduce bottlenecks and improve coordination among stakeholders.

Drayage operations—short-haul trucking of containers between ports and warehouses—are particularly vulnerable to scheduling inefficiencies, which can exacerbate congestion and delay cargo deliveries. By incorporating Dray Dog's platform, CargoSprint seeks to address these pain points, offering carriers and shippers a centralized system for managing appointments and real-time updates.

The acquisition aligns with CargoSprint's broader strategy to expand its digital infrastructure in the freight sector. However, industry analysts note that the success of the integration will depend on user adoption and the platform's ability to adapt to evolving port regulations and labor dynamics.

As supply chain resilience remains a priority for businesses, transactions like CargoSprint's acquisition underscore the growing investment in technology-driven solutions to optimize logistics workflows.
