Atlanta, Ga. — Candescent, a leading cloud-based digital banking solutions provider for U.S. financial institutions, has appointed John Garvey as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and elevate customer experiences. Garvey brings over 30 years of experience in advising and managing global financial institutions, professional services teams, and technology organizations. His appointment underscores Candescent's commitment to delivering elevated experiences to its 1,300 bank and credit union customers [1].

Garvey's extensive background includes serving as the global leader of PwC's financial services industry vertical, a practice of over 60,000 professionals generating $14 billion in annual revenue. He previously held positions as COO of Instinet, the world's third-largest stock exchange at the time, and CEO of Cybertrust, a cybersecurity managed services provider later sold to Verizon. These roles have equipped him with deep expertise in strategy, operations, technology, and risk management.

"Candescent is uniquely positioned to meet the full range of financial institutions' digital banking needs, setting us apart in the market. I'm thrilled to be part of this dynamic team, supporting our ongoing momentum and helping banks and credit unions across the country differentiate and compete," said Garvey. "As COO, I look forward to driving operational excellence and ensuring we deliver exceptional value and customer experience."

To further support Candescent's operational and customer success, Peter Gray has been appointed Vice President of Professional Services and Delivery. Gray comes with deep operational leadership experience in the technology and financial services sectors, having most recently served as VP of Implementations at Transit Technologies. Prior to that, he was SVP of Digital Solutions at Fiserv, where he led implementation teams supporting banks and credit unions. Across these roles, Gray has successfully managed multi-million-dollar transformation projects with banking clients in the U.S. and globally [2].

"John has a proven track record of success in empowering financial services and technology organizations to realize their strategic goals and succeed; he has already proven to bring significant value to our team and client base," said Brendan Tansill, CEO of Candescent. "Likewise, Peter is a trusted leader in structuring and scaling high-performance services teams, leading mission-critical client programs and delivering measurable business value. These two key additions to our leadership team will help us deepen our partnerships with leading banks and credit unions to modernize their infrastructure, strengthen customer experiences and growth, and future-proof their organizations."
