The Canadian ETF market started the year strong, with the S&P 500 hitting 7,000 for the first time and metals experiencing a rally. The Bank of Canada and US Federal Reserve held their policy interest rates unchanged. The top performers for January were funds centered on Cameco, with a 73.87% one-month price return for SavvyLong's Cameco ETF. The market saw 25 new funds launched, including AGF's American Growth and Global Select Funds, Hamilton's US Technology and Utilities Index ETFs, and Harvest's Enhanced High Income Shares ETFs and Premium Yield solutions.
