Camino Minerals Corporation (TSXV: COR) (OTC: CAMZF) (WKN: A116E1) has recently provided an exploration summary for its Maria Cecilia copper porphyry project in Peru, highlighting the significant potential of this underexplored asset. With over 30,000 meters of historical drilling and a NI43-101 compliant resource at adjacent deposits, the Maria Cecilia project is poised for further exploration and discovery.

The Maria Cecilia copper porphyry project spans over 5 kilometers, with historical drilling results indicating the presence of copper, gold, and molybdenum mineralization. Previous drilling at the adjacent Toropunto and Emmanuel deposits has demonstrated high-grade copper and gold intercepts, such as 40 meters at 1.34% CuEq and 66 meters at 1.52% CuEq at Toropunto, and 46 meters at 0.61% CuEq and 52 meters at 0.71% CuEq at Emmanuel.

Camino's geological team has observed exposed rock exhibiting green copper oxide mineralization at the surface of Porphyry 1, with corresponding chip samples up to 0.7% copper. These recent assay results are comparable to historical test pit samples in this area. The company intends to drill up to two 750-meter holes at locations of copper mineralized porphyry outcrops Porphyry 1 and Porphyry 2 to intercept a significant magnetic anomaly with the potential to host a robust mineralized porphyry system.

The Maria Cecilia porphyry complex is located in the Cordillera Negra mountain range in the Andes, approximately a 3-hour drive from the nearest mining-supported town of Caraz. The project is surrounded by other significant copper deposits, such as the Toropunto and Emmanuel deposits, which have seen over USD $28 million invested in exploration and resource definition.

Camino's exploration strategy at Maria Cecilia aims to define copper mineralization and estimate the corresponding zonation in the porphyry stock for further follow-up drilling. The proposed drilling program is designed to confirm the presence of primary porphyry copper mineralization, along with gold and molybdenum, at depth. Additionally, mineralization may be discovered in reactive host rocks, such as the sandstone and limestones of the Goyllarisquizga group, which could host large-scale concentrations of copper mineralization within the Cordillera Negra belt.

In conclusion, the Maria Cecilia copper porphyry project in Peru presents a compelling investment opportunity for Camino Minerals Corporation. With a rich history of exploration and a NI43-101 compliant resource at adjacent deposits, the project has the potential to deliver significant value to shareholders through further exploration and discovery. As Camino continues to advance its exploration efforts at Maria Cecilia, investors should monitor the company's progress closely.
