CAE Reports Q1 Profit, Revenue Up Amid Strong Demand

CAE Inc., a flight simulator maker, reported a Q1 profit of $57.2 million, up from $48.3 million in the same quarter last year. The profit per diluted share increased to 18 cents from 15 cents. Revenue rose to $1.10 billion from $1.07 billion. Civil revenue increased to $607.7 million, and defence and security revenue rose to $490.9 million. The company's adjusted backlog stood at $19.48 billion.
