Cadeler has signed a firm contract with Synera Renewable Energy for the transportation and installation of 35 Siemens Gamesa 14MW wind turbines at the Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. The project is expected to commence in March 2028 and will last approximately 150 days, with revenue projected to be between EUR 70 and 80 million. The contract represents a further step forward in Cadeler's strategy to advance offshore wind in the Asia-Pacific region.

Copenhagen, Denmark - Cadeler, a leading provider of offshore wind turbine transportation and installation services, has signed a firm contract with Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) for the transportation and installation (T&I) of 35 Siemens Gamesa 14MW wind turbines at the Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. The project, set to commence in March 2028, will last approximately 150 days and is expected to generate revenue between EUR 70 and 80 million for Cadeler [1][2].

The Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm, located 18 to 20 kilometers off the coast of Miaoli County, will span an area of 58 square kilometers, with turbines installed at water depths between 57 and 64 meters. Upon completion, the wind farm will provide 495 MW of clean offshore energy, significantly contributing to Taiwan's green energy supply.

This contract marks a significant milestone for Cadeler, furthering its strategic presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The project will be executed by one of Cadeler's next-generation M-class wind turbine installation vessels, bringing best-in-class technology to Taiwan's shores. Cadeler's local office in Taipei will support the project, reflecting the company's ongoing efforts to build up its APAC presence and pipeline [1][2].

The contract is part of a reservation agreement Cadeler disclosed in September 2024, securing two offshore wind projects in the region. Negotiations are ongoing for the second project. Cadeler's partnership with SRE on these projects underscores its long-term strategy to advance offshore wind in the Asia-Pacific region [1][2].

Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, commented, "This milestone project further anchors Cadeler’s strategic presence in the Asia-Pacific region. With the support of our team based in Taipei, we are steadily building up our APAC presence and pipeline, with two vessels currently operating contracts in the region. With an M-class vessel, we are bringing best-in-class technology to Taiwan’s shores, building a bridge between continents and the infrastructure for a cleaner tomorrow" [1][2].
