C3 Metals Inc. CEO Dan Symons discusses the company's three-project drilling strategy in Jamaica and Peru. With Freeport-MacMoran funding up to $75 million on the Bellas Gate project, C3 Metals is entering a news-heavy period. Assay results are expected throughout Q3 and Q4, potentially validating the company's multi-asset exploration approach in world-class mining districts.
C3 Metals Inc. (TSXV: CCCM, OTCQB: CUAUF) has announced the commencement of a significant drilling program at its wholly-owned Khaleesi copper-gold project in Peru. The company has engaged AK Drilling International to conduct a minimum 6,000-meter diamond core drilling program, targeting two IP chargeability anomalies that converge at approximately 600m depth [1].
The drilling program, which is scheduled to begin in early September, will consist of 14 drill holes designed to test coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies. The drilling will focus on two IP chargeability anomalies that coincide with strong copper soil geochemical anomalies. Mobilization of equipment and personnel to the drill site is scheduled for the first half of September, with all necessary regulatory approvals secured [1].
The Khaleesi project represents a rare opportunity to explore an undrilled copper-gold mineralized skarn, epithermal, and porphyry prospect located on the well-known Andahuaylas-Yauri Porphyry-Skarn belt. The project is strategically located within 45km of large-scale copper mines, including Las Bambas (MMG) and Constancia (Hudbay Minerals) [1].
C3 Metals CEO Dan Symons expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration with AK Drilling, stating, "We previously worked with AK Drilling on the resource delineation drilling at our Montana de Cobre skarn located approximately 8km from our Khaleesi Project. We are pleased to again collaborate with AK Drilling, as we know firsthand its attention to safety and environmental management and strong operational performance. We look forward to drilling these exciting targets at Khaleesi." [1]
The drilling program at Khaleesi is part of C3 Metals' broader exploration strategy, which includes projects in both Peru and Jamaica. The company is also actively exploring in Jamaica, where it has identified multiple copper prospects over a 30km strike extent. Additionally, Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation has the option to earn up to a 75% interest in the Bella Gate project in Jamaica by funding up to US $75 million in exploration expenditures [1].
Assay results are expected throughout Q3 and Q4, potentially validating C3 Metals' multi-asset exploration approach in world-class mining districts. The company's drilling strategy aims to enhance shareholder value by discovering and developing large copper and gold deposits [1].
