Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched a marketing campaign in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to integrate crypto into everyday experiences via Careem, the region’s popular super app. The initiative, which began in June, features advertisements within the Careem app, inviting users to access Bybit’s crypto-native services, including payment solutions and exclusive deals. The campaign spans entertainment, dining, transportation, and sports, aiming to create a seamless ecosystem where digital assets enhance real-world interactions [1].
Bybit’s partnership with Careem is part of a broader strategy to bridge Web2 and Web3, emphasizing accessibility and practicality for users. The collaboration includes discounted services at Dubai’s Grand Millennium hotel for Bybit Cardholders and long-term partnerships with institutions like the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) for blockchain education. Bybit Card users also gain perks such as airport lounge access and AI co-pilot subscriptions. Claudia Wang, Bybit’s Head of Marketing, emphasized the campaign’s customer-centric approach, stating, “We are everywhere our customers want us to be,” while highlighting the absence of rigid boundaries between traditional and Web3 marketing [1].
The initiative aligns with Bybit’s mission to redefine crypto as a lifestyle rather than a niche investment. With 70 million global users, the exchange aims to position digital assets as a tool for financial freedom and elevated living. The campaign leverages Bybit’s platform for trading, custody, wealth management, and payments, offering users a versatile ecosystem to achieve their crypto goals. Bybit’s CEO described the MENA region as a “testing ground” for integrated digital finance, underscoring its potential to shape the future of onchain economies [1].
The campaign’s focus on localization reflects Bybit’s commitment to expanding its global footprint. While the initial rollout targets the MENA region, the partnership’s scope is expected to extend to other areas in the coming months. Bybit’s strategic alliances with local entities—ranging from gaming lounges to ride-sharing services—highlight its effort to make crypto adoption “effortless and rewarding” for everyday consumers [1].
