Bybit Lists Tokyo Games Token $TGT for Web3 Gaming

Bybit, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has made a significant move by becoming the first centralized exchange (CEX) to list the Tokyo Games Token ($TGT). This development highlights Bybit's commitment to advancing the future of Web3 gaming. $TGT is the native token of the Tokyo Games Foundation, a Web3 initiative supported by key Japanese industry leaders including Cygames, SBI Holdings, and gumi. The token is designed to power a new generation of high-quality blockchain games, serving as the central utility and governance token within a sustainable gaming economy.

The Tokyo Games Foundation's flagship title, TOKYO BEAST, is set in a futuristic Tokyo, 2124, and features AI-powered BEAST androids competing in high-stakes tournaments. Players can stake tokens and place legally approved, on-chain bets using an in-game currency called JEWELS. $TGT will be utilized for in-game purchases, staking for NFTs, governance participation, and access to lotteries, betting, and premium features via in-game currencies like JEWELS and GEMS. Naoki Motohashi, Producer of TOKYO BEAST, expressed enthusiasm about the listing, stating that this is a major milestone not just for TOKYO BEAST, but for the entire Tokyo Games Foundation ecosystem. He emphasized that Bybit’s global reach and user-centric platform make it the ideal partner to take TGT to the next level.

To celebrate the listing, Bybit has launched Token Splash, a comprehensive promotional campaign offering 9,000,000 TGT in total rewards. The campaign includes two key events: the New User Exclusive, where new users can deposit and trade to earn from a 6,000,000 TGT prize pool, and the Trade-to-Earn event, where users can trade TGT to claim a share of the 3,000,000 TGT prize pool. $TGT will be available for trading starting May 21, 2025, at 10 AM UTC, with support for Spot Grid Bots and IMX zkEVM network transactions.
