Bybit Launches Onchain Wave Event on Solana Blockchain with $1 Million Prize Pool

Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced the launch of the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025 event, featuring an on-chain special event called "Onchain Wave" on the Solana blockchain. The event, which runs from August 21 to September 15, 2025, 10 AM UTC, offers a total prize pool exceeding $1 million, with rewards distributed across BBSOL and USDC tokens [1].

The Onchain Wave event is co-hosted by Bybit Web3 and Byreal platforms, providing a seamless trading experience for participants. The event is open to users on both Bybit Web3 and Byreal platforms, who can compete on a shared leaderboard. The collaboration with Byreal, a Solana-based platform, leverages Solana’s speed, scalability, and developer depth to deliver professional-grade trading experiences with full on-chain transparency [1].

The WSOT Onchain Wave offers a variety of rewards, including weekly and grand competitions, a 6th anniversary bonus, and a warrior reward for traders with significant trading volumes. Additionally, liquidity providers can earn daily payouts from a 650,000 USDC reward pool [1].

To participate, users must complete Individual Identity Verification Level 1 on Bybit and have the latest app version (5.0.0 or above). For Byreal, access is currently whitelist-only but can be gained via Solana wallet connection. Trading of WSOT-tagged tokens on either platform counts toward both weekly and overall leaderboards, with minimum trading volumes required to qualify for rewards [1].
