Bybit, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has unveiled Byreal, a hybrid decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Solana blockchain. The platform is set to launch its mainnet in the third quarter of 2025, following a testnet release scheduled for June 30, 2025. Byreal aims to merge the liquidity advantages of centralized exchanges with the transparency and trustless nature of decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, positioning itself as a pioneering force in the hybrid finance sector.

Byreal is designed to offer low-slippage, miner-extractable value (MEV)-protected swaps through a hybrid routing system that combines Request for Quote (RFQ) and Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) technologies. This system is intended to leverage the high transaction speeds of the Solana blockchain, providing users with efficient and secure trading experiences. The platform will also feature a fair launchpad model called “Reset Launch,” which utilizes a Smart Price Ladder and Fairshare Engine for new token listings. Additionally, Byreal will introduce curated yield vaults under the “Revive Vault” banner, offering products like bbSOL, a Solana-based liquid staking token. These features are aimed at unifying fragmented liquidity and attracting new users and assets to the Solana ecosystem.

The development of Byreal follows Bybit’s strategic shift towards hybrid DeFi models, after discontinuing several standalone Web3 services, including its previous DEX Pro and NFT marketplace, in May 2025. This move is part of Bybit’s effort to rebuild user trust and expand its decentralized offerings following a significant security breach earlier in 2025. Byreal’s success will hinge on its ability to deliver on its promises of CEX-level liquidity and seamless DeFi trading when mainnet operations commence later this year. The platform is backed by Bybit and built on the Solana network, positioning it to compete in the growing market for hybrid finance platforms.

Byreal’s launch represents a significant step for Bybit in the evolving landscape of decentralized exchanges. The platform’s hybrid model aims to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized trading, offering users the best of both worlds. Byreal’s advanced routing technologies, including RFQ and CLMM systems, are designed to provide low-slippage and MEV-protected swaps, enhancing the overall trading experience. The platform’s fair launchpad model and curated yield vaults further aim to attract new users and assets to the Solana ecosystem, fostering a more unified and liquid market.

Bybit’s entry into the Solana DEX space marks an expansion of its DeFi offerings, as the exchange has traditionally focused on centralized trading services. Byreal represents an attempt to capture both traditional crypto traders and DeFi users through its hybrid approach. The testnet launch on June 30 will provide an initial test of Byreal’s technology and user interest, with the mainnet launch scheduled for Q3 2025. Bybit aims to integrate its centralized exchange liquidity with decentralized trading features, offering a unique value proposition in the competitive DEX market. The platform’s success will depend on its ability to deliver on its promises and attract a diverse user base, positioning Byreal as a key player in the future of hybrid finance.
