Lifezone Metals signed an exclusivity agreement with the Burundi government over the Musongati Nickel Project, a globally significant nickel laterite deposit. The project, located in Burundi, has been explored for 50 years and has potential for copper, cobalt, gold, platinum-group metals, and scandium by-products. The agreement allows Lifezone to assess the project within a 14-month exclusivity phase, which includes a 30-day scoping phase. The agreement consolidates globally significant regional deposits under a single umbrella, creating a larger inventory of resources to compete with Southeast Asian supply.
