Burckhardt Compression, a Switzerland-based manufacturer of reciprocating compressors, has completed a compressors overhaul at its US facility. The company, which operates in over 80 countries, provides customized compressor systems for various industries, including oil and gas, gas transport and storage, and industrial gas sectors. Its product portfolio includes compressor valves, rings, and other components.

The Sakarya gas field development in the Black Sea is progressing with significant advancements in subsea systems and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPCI) contracts. Turkish Petroleum (TPAO) and Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center (TP-OTC) have commissioned Baker Hughes to provide subsea production and intelligent completion systems for the Phase 3 development of the Sakarya field, which is located 170 km offshore Filyos, Zonguldak Phase 3 of Sakarya gas project advances with subsea systems and EPCI contracts[1].

Baker Hughes will supply deepwater horizontal tree systems with associated subsea structures and control systems to enable production at subsurface depths from 6,500 ft. The intelligent upper and lower completions systems will deliver multi-zonal control of subsurface operations. These systems include InForce HCMTM-A interval control valves, SureTREAT chemical injection valves, SureSENS QPT ELITE gauges, REACH subsurface safety valves, and the SC-XPTM Select Zero Loss stack-pack system, all integrated with the subsea production systems Phase 3 of Sakarya gas project advances with subsea systems and EPCI contracts[1].

Saipem, under an EPCI contract from TP-OTC, will continue its involvement in the development by engineering and installing the Phase 3 flowlines and export trunkline. The company's flagship Castorone vessel will perform the installations during 2027. Saipem's workscope, valued at about $1.5 billion, covers eight rigid flowlines and the 183-km-long, 24-inch diameter gas export pipeline (GEP) in a maximum water depth of 2,200 m Phase 3 of Sakarya gas project advances with subsea systems and EPCI contracts[1].

Last month, TP-OTC awarded the EPCI contract for the Phase 3 SURF facilities to Subsea7, which is managing the project from its offices in Istanbul Phase 3 of Sakarya gas project advances with subsea systems and EPCI contracts[1].
