BTC Prague 2025 Draws 10,000 Attendees Amid Minister's Resignation

BTC Prague 2025, Europe’s largest Bitcoin gathering, concluded successfully after three days of intense discussions, innovative showcases, and networking. The event attracted over 10,000 attendees, making it the biggest Bitcoin-centric conference in Europe to date. Notable figures such as Michael Saylor, Adam Back, and Jack Mallers shared their insights on the future of Bitcoin and digital finance, engaging with an audience that included developers, innovators, educators, and newcomers to the Bitcoin community.

The conference featured more than 200 speakers and 100 companies and open-source projects, each contributing to the vibrant expo. One of the most prominent themes was self-custody and security, reflecting the community's growing emphasis on protecting digital assets. Trezor, a leading hardware wallet company, drew significant attention with over 5,000 visitors to their booth. Many attendees were already familiar with hardware wallets and showed keen interest in backup protection tools like Trezor Keep Metal.

Danny Sanders, Trezor’s Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the attendees' proactive approach to security. He noted that visitors were not only curious about wallet features but also asked insightful questions about backups and preventing loss. Sanders emphasized the importance of proactive protection, stating, “Proactive protection is key, and we’re committed to helping users understand its value before mistakes happen.”

The event concluded with a palpable sense of enthusiasm among attendees, solidifying BTC Prague’s reputation as a must-attend gathering for Bitcoin enthusiasts across Europe. Looking ahead, Trezor and other industry players are preparing for ETHCC in Cannes, where they anticipate meeting new audiences and fostering new partnerships.

Despite the conference's success, it was overshadowed by the resignation of Czech Minister Pavel Blazek earlier in the week. Blazek stepped down following a no-confidence vote related to a Bitcoin-related scandal, adding a layer of complexity to the event's aftermath.
