Broadcom has introduced the Tomahawk Ultra Ethernet switch for high-performance computing and AI workloads, featuring ultra-low latency and lossless networking. The switch offers 250ns latency and 51.2 terabits per second throughput, addressing the needs for high reliability and efficiency in demanding computing environments. Broadcom's broader strategy includes the introduction of SUE-Lite, a variation of its Scale-Up Ethernet specification tailored for resource-sensitive applications. The Tomahawk Ultra is currently shipping and is compatible with existing systems.
