Broadcom has released Jericho4, a high-performance Ethernet fabric router designed to interconnect over 1 million XPUs across multiple data centers for distributed AI computing. Jericho4 offers unmatched bandwidth, security, and lossless performance, breaking through traditional scaling limits. It supports 3.2 Tbps HyperPort, deep buffering, line-rate MACsec, and RoCE transport over 100km+ distances, ensuring lossless data transport and robust security. The Jericho4 is manufactured on a 3nm process and is compliant with Ultra Ethernet Consortium specifications for interoperability.

Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) has announced the shipping of Jericho4, a high-performance Ethernet fabric router designed to interconnect over 1 million XPUs across multiple data centers for distributed AI computing. This advanced platform breaks through traditional scaling limits with unmatched bandwidth, security, and lossless performance.

Jericho4 supports 3.2 Tbps HyperPort technology, deep buffering, line-rate MACsec encryption, and RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) transport over 100km+ distances. These features ensure lossless data transport and robust security, making it an ideal solution for distributed AI infrastructure.

Manufactured on a 3nm process, Jericho4 features Broadcom's advanced 200G PAM4 SerDes technology, eliminating the need for retimers and reducing power consumption, cost, and improving reliability. The router is fully compliant with Ultra Ethernet Consortium specifications, ensuring interoperability across open, standards-based Ethernet AI fabrics.

The Jericho4 launch completes Broadcom's networking portfolio for HPC and AI, positioning the company as a comprehensive supplier in the rapidly growing AI infrastructure market. As AI models grow in size and complexity, the infrastructure requirements exceed the power and physical limits of a single data center. Distributing XPUs across multiple facilities requires a new class of router optimized for very high-bandwidth, secure, and lossless transport across regional distances.
