Apple (AAPL.US) faces a class action lawsuit in the UK from app developers who accuse the company of charging up to 30% commission on App Store sales and levying an anti-competitive tax on the UK tech industry. The judge at the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal dismissed Apple's arguments to block the case, paving the way for it to continue.Apple's app store fees have been a focus of global regulators, with the company announcing reforms in January aimed at placating European regulators. The reforms have been closely watched by the EU, with concerns that the new terms could actually make developers' situation worse.Ennis, who worked at the US Department of Justice and European Commission, was funded by Harbour Litigation Funding, a third-party litigation funding firm.Ennis said in court documents that Apple began charging UK app developers a commission from July 25, 2017.
