Booz Allen Hamilton has been selected by the National Weather Service (NWS) to build a cloud-based data platform that will power the nation's weather forecasting tools and services. The platform, NWS CIRRUS, aims to transform how weather data is processed, analyzed, and delivered using cloud technology, advanced data engineering, and AI. Booz Allen will help rebuild the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System in a secure cloud environment and at speed. The platform will enable faster and more resilient delivery of weather data and products, and create a scalable foundation for advanced forecasting capabilities nationwide.
