BNB Chain Unites Against Malicious MEV: Community Launches Counterattack
The BNB Chain community has launched a counterattack against malicious MEV proposals, aiming to protect the interests of community users and ensure the fairness of DeFi. The proposal encourages community members, including block builders, RPC nodes, validators, and DApps, to detect and prevent malicious MEV, collectively taking responsibility to protect users from "sandwich" attacks.
The proposal by BNB Chain advocates for eliminating bad actors by cutting off the permissions of malicious block builders and voting out validators who condone such behavior. Additionally, the mempool will be upgraded in 2025 to prevent transaction front-running. The community is urged to actively report MEV attackers, avoid using insecure RPCs that expose transactions, and use wallets with MEV protection features.
Previously, BNB Chain has collaborated with top wallets such as Trust, Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Mathwallet to enable MEV protection features, protecting users from sandwich attacks. The community is encouraged to vote on the proposal and participate in the effort to maintain the integrity of the BNB Chain ecosystem.
