Bank of Montreal (BMO) is partnering with CME Group and Google Cloud to launch a tokenized cash and deposit platform on Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL). This will enable BMO's institutional clients to convert US dollars into tokenized instruments 24/7, facilitating real-time margin calls, collateral movements, and settlement. The platform is set to roll out in H2 2026, pending regulatory approval.
