BLS Intl Services gets order for running Aadhar Seva Kendra
Protean eGov Technologies has received a significant order from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to establish and operate district-level Aadhaar Seva Kendras across India. The contract, valued at Rs 1,160 crore, spans a period of six years and will see the company provide appointment/walk-in-based Aadhaar Enrolment, Update, and other miscellaneous Aadhaar Services in 188 districts [1].
The order is a substantial boost for the company, which has been facing challenges in its stock performance. Protean eGov's stock has experienced a decline in the past few months, dropping from Rs 1,428 on May 16 to Rs 719.75 on August 12, a loss of approximately 40% in value [1]. However, the company's stock has shown signs of recovery in the past week, gaining 9.26% over the last five trading days [1].
The latest order from UIDAI is expected to bring a positive impact on the company's financial performance and investor sentiment. Additionally, Protean eGov has announced a dividend of Rs 10 per equity share for the fiscal year 2024-25, with the record date set for August 29 [1].
