In a strategic move to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven network operations solutions, Blackstone Inc. has acquired a majority stake in NetBrain Technologies Inc. for $750 million, valuing the company at the same amount. This investment underscores Blackstone's belief in the transformative potential of AI in the $30 billion network operations solutions market.NetBrain, founded in 2004, specializes in AI-powered network automation. The company's platform simplifies network discovery, automates remediation, and ensures network observability. It has worked with major corporations such as Microsoft Corp., Nike Inc., and CVS Health Corp., helping them prevent network outages and mitigate risks.
Blackstone Growth, the growth arm of Blackstone Inc., will provide the necessary capital for NetBrain to expand its global footprint and scale its AI-powered platform. The deal was advised by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP for Blackstone and McDermott Will & Emery for NetBrain.
Vishal Amin, senior managing director at Blackstone Growth, stated, "AI has the power to transform how enterprises manage network operations and security." NetBrain's founder and CEO, Lingping Gao, added that the partnership with Blackstone will help NetBrain "seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead the AI transformation of network operations."
The acquisition comes at a time when enterprises are increasingly facing pressure to guarantee network reliability and security. NetBrain's platform, with its no-code automation and dynamic mapping features, is well-positioned to meet these demands.
