BlackBerry has named John Wall, a 32-year veteran of the company, president of its QNX car software unit. QNX generates most of BlackBerry's market value, with $63.1 million in revenue in Q2, up 15% YoY, and a 32% adjusted operating profit margin. The unit dominates the software-defined vehicle space, with all top 10 automakers as customers. Wall replaces Chicago-based Mattias Eriksson and will lead QNX to new levels of success.
