Bitmine Announces ETH Holdings Reach 3.55% of Supply as Staking Infrastructure Advances
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has increased its EthereumETH-- (ETH) holdings to 3.55% of the total supply, equivalent to 4,285,125 ETHETH-- tokens. This acquisition accounts for over 70% of the company's goal to hold 5% of the ETH supply.
The company has also advanced its staking infrastructure, with 2,897,459 ETH tokens currently staked. This staking activity is projected to yield $374 million in annual rewards once the company's upcoming MAVAN staking solution is fully deployed. The solution, expected to launch in Q1 2026, is being developed in collaboration with multiple staking providers.
Bitmine's total crypto and cash holdings have now reached $10.7 billion, making it the second-largest global crypto treasury and the leading Ethereum treasury worldwide.

What Is Bitmine's Strategic Staking Goal?
Bitmine aims to fully utilize its ETH holdings through a staking solution that maximizes annual returns. The company has already staked a significant portion of its holdings, and the full deployment of the MAVAN solution is expected to further enhance its staking efficiency. This infrastructure is projected to utilize a 2.81% Composite Ethereum Staking Rate to generate a total of $374 million in annual rewards.
The staking solution, currently under development, represents a strategic initiative to optimize the value of its ETH holdings while aligning with the broader Ethereum network's consensus mechanisms. This approach could also serve as a model for other crypto treasuries looking to derive passive income from their token reserves.
How Does Bitmine's Staking Infrastructure Affect the Market?
Bitmine's staking infrastructure is a significant development for the Ethereum ecosystem. By staking a substantial portion of its ETH holdings, the company supports network security and decentralization. The expected increase in staking rewards could also influence the broader Ethereum market dynamics, particularly in terms of validator economics and token distribution.
The company's progress in staking infrastructure is also expected to have a positive impact on its stock performance. Over the past week, Bitmine's stock has seen a 15% increase, with shares currently trading at $20 apiece. This rise reflects growing investor confidence in the company's strategic use of its crypto assets and its long-term value proposition.
What Is Bitmine's Position in the Global Crypto Treasury Landscape?
Bitmine is the second-largest global crypto treasury, behind only Strategy Inc. (MSTR). The company's treasury strategy focuses on acquiring and staking a significant portion of the Ethereum supply, which positions it as a key player in the Ethereum ecosystem.
By holding 3.55% of the ETH supply, Bitmine has a considerable influence on Ethereum's governance and network dynamics. Its ongoing efforts to expand its staking infrastructure further reinforce its leadership position in the crypto space. This leadership is expected to be reflected in both market capitalization and investor sentiment as the company continues to execute its strategic objectives.
