Bitlayer, a project leveraging BitVM technology within the Bitcoin ecosystem, has announced a strategic partnership with Sui, a high-performance public chain. This collaboration aims to deploy and integrate the BitVM Bridge ecosystem, a trust-minimized BTC bridge solution. The partnership will focus on promoting the integration and adoption of the BitVM Bridge core component, Peg-BTC (YBTC), within the Sui ecosystem.

The launch of Peg-BTC (YBTC) will enable users to explore various decentralized finance (DeFi) scenarios on the Sui network, including asset exchange, lending, and staking yield. This initiative represents a significant milestone in the multi-chain ecosystem deployment of BitVM Bridge. As the first BTCFi infrastructure built on BitVM, BitVM Bridge has already established partnerships with seven mainstream public chains and protocols, including Base, Starknet, Arbitrum, Sonic, Plume Network, and Sundial. The project is poised to expand its reach to additional ecosystems in the future.

According to official sources, BitVM Bridge has entered its final testing phase and is anticipated to launch its mainnet in the near future. This development underscores the growing integration of Bitcoin with other blockchain ecosystems, facilitating a more interconnected and versatile DeFi landscape. The collaboration between Bitlayer and Sui is expected to enhance the utility and accessibility of Bitcoin within the broader blockchain community, fostering innovation and interoperability across different platforms.
