Bitget Wallet, a leading non-custodial crypto wallet, has announced a major integration with Base, the
Layer 2 network developed by Coinbase. As part of this update, the wallet has natively integrated Aerodrome, a key decentralized exchange (DEX) within the Base ecosystem. This integration allows Bitget Wallet users to access a wide range of Base-native assets, including liquidity pools for key tokens like cbETH and cbBTC, without leaving the wallet interface. Aerodrome functions as a central hub for decentralized finance (DeFi) activities on Base, leveraging a liquidity flywheel model designed to enhance growth and user participation. By incorporating Aerodrome, Bitget Wallet aims to reduce the complexity of on-chain financial services and make DeFi more accessible to mainstream users. Alex Cutler, contributor of Aerodrome, emphasized that the integration ensures users can benefit from the best execution on key assets like cbETH and cbBTC, which are central to the Base ecosystem. The integration also enables users to swap tokens, provide liquidity, and earn rewards within the wallet, streamlining the on-chain experience. Jamie Elkaleh, Chief Marketing Officer of Bitget Wallet, highlighted the shared vision between Bitget and Base to build an on-chain ecosystem that is accessible to all. The wallet now supports staking and yield generation with Base-native assets, including cbETH and cbBTC, which can be accessed with a single tap, simplifying the user experience. Bitget Wallet further enhances usability with its GetGas feature, which now supports Base transactions, allowing users to cover transaction fees without needing to hold ETH. This reduces a common barrier for newcomers to Layer 2 networks. In addition to the Aerodrome integration, Bitget Wallet is rolling out a dedicated Base Ecosystem Zone within its Discover tab. This section will feature top DeFi, gaming, and infrastructure projects on Base, alongside resources and step-by-step guides for new users. Real-time token feeds and one-tap trading capabilities will also be available, encouraging deeper engagement with the Base ecosystem. The integration is part of Bitget Wallet’s broader strategy to simplify DeFi and on-chain interactions. By combining streamlined interfaces, access to liquidity, and educational tools, the company aims to accelerate the adoption of decentralized financial services and bring on-chain opportunities to a wider audience. Bitget Wallet recently also launched a fiat withdrawal feature through MoonPay, allowing users to convert stablecoins like and into 25+ fiat currencies directly from the app. This functionality, accessible via the “Sell Crypto” page, further enhances the wallet's utility for both crypto and fiat users. The integration of Aerodrome and the expansion of Base-related features reflect Bitget Wallet’s commitment to bridging the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance. By offering in-app access to advanced liquidity infrastructure and user-friendly tools, the wallet is positioning itself as a key player in the evolving Layer 2 DeFi landscape.
