Bitget CEO Gracy Chen laid out the exchange’s 2025 roadmap — and it’s heavily focused on institutions.
Bitget, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has outlined a comprehensive 2025 roadmap that prioritizes institutional clients. According to a recent interview with Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, the exchange's strategy is heavily focused on developing services tailored to institutional and VIP clients.Chen emphasized the importance of this sector, stating, "Institutional and the VIP clients is a big sector that we're developing this year. We're also doing some new product offering for this group of people… unified trading account and more borrow lending credit line for institutional clients" [1].
Bitget is also building custom dashboards and tailored services to help institutions better manage their holdings. Additionally, cross-border payments and efficiency are major focuses. Chen noted that current cross-border transactions can take up to four days and involve significant fees, with Bitget aiming to streamline this process [1].
Bitget's efforts to build trust include a $650 million protection fund, which is one of the largest in the industry. The exchange is also implementing stringent compliance measures, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) processes, to onboard institutional clients [1].
In addition to its institutional focus, Bitget Wallet is expanding globally. The integration of the TON blockchain has significantly boosted user engagement in Southeast Asia, particularly in markets like the Philippines and Indonesia. The wallet is also simplifying the user experience with features like Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallets and hardware wallet compatibility, enhancing security and user trust [2].
Bitget's strategic vision includes consolidating its tokens under the BGB token, which will serve both the exchange and the wallet ecosystem. This move aims to create a unified token economy that connects centralized and decentralized finance, simplifying the user experience and strengthening the utility of BGB [2].
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a pivotal tool for Bitget Wallet, powering token analysis features and personalized asset recommendations. AI is also being integrated to provide intelligent support through an AI chatbot, enhancing user decision-making processes [2].
Overall, Bitget's 2025 roadmap reflects a strategic shift towards institutional clients and a commitment to enhancing user experience through technology and innovation.
