Bitget and Arkis Partner to Expand Capital-Efficient Institutional Trading
February 25, 2026
Bitget, a leading Universal Exchange (UEX), has partnered with Arkis, an institutional digital asset prime brokerage, to enhance capital efficiency for institutional traders. The collaboration integrates Direct Market Access (DMA) into Bitget’s platform via Arkis’s unified margin framework, enabling institutions to execute trades while financing positions through a single, portfolio-based margin model.
Under the integration, institutional clients can use sub-account structures and API-based workflows to trade on Bitget while leveraging a unified portfolio margin that spans Bitget and other supported venues. This replaces isolated margin requirements with portfolio-level netting, reducing balance sheet friction and allowing firms to deploy capital more effectively across strategies.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized that the partnership addresses a key institutional need: “Institutions want to deploy capital where it works hardest, without having to manage fragmented margin across platforms.” Similarly, Serhii Tyshchenko, CEO of Arkis, noted that the integration aligns with professional trading demands for “capital efficiency without sacrificing risk discipline” according to Arkis leadership.
The partnership reflects Bitget’s focus on institutional infrastructure within its UEX framework, which consolidates liquidity, execution, and financing. Recent analysis by Messari highlights growing institutional preference for platforms offering portfolio-level margin and DMA, positioning Bitget-Arkis as a practical implementation of these features.
For institutional users, the integration allows higher capital utilization by financing Bitget positions under Arkis’s credit framework without fragmenting margin across venues. This aligns with broader trends in digital markets, where operational clarity and capital efficiency are critical for performance.
Bitget, which serves over 125 million users, continues to expand its institutional toolkit through strategic partnerships. Arkis, meanwhile, provides unified margin and risk management across centralized and decentralized markets, catering to professional trading firms.
