Major Japanese crypto exchange bitFlyer has announced that it will soon start supporting XRP and ETH in its leveraged trading product, bitFlyer Crypto CFD. This expansion of supported assets is aimed at attracting more users to the platform. Previously, bitFlyer only provided CFDs for Bitcoin. The new pairs that will be added are ETH-CFD/JPY and XRP-CFD/JPY, in addition to the existing BTC-CFD/JPY pair.
Bitcoin (BTC) has recorded its worst February in 11 years, with a price drop of 1.48% to $85,400 yesterday. This decline erased all the recent gains, including BTC's new all-time high of $109,588. According to historical data from CryptoRank, this February is the worst for BTC since 2014, when its price recorded a 33.7% correction. As March approaches, historical trends suggest an average return of 11.8% for this month, but the median return is -2.10%.
Former SEC enforcement attorney John Reed Stark has predicted that the SEC might drop its lawsuit against Ripple, the San Francisco-based fintech giant. Stark's prediction is based on recent changes in the SEC's approach to crypto regulation, including the closure of investigations into Robinhood, Uniswap, and OpenSea. Meanwhile, the SEC has dismissed the
case, with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stating that the exchange expects a full dismissal without any fines or charges.
