Bitfinex, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has released a detailed update log for version 1.119 of its trading platform. The update introduces several new features, improvements, and bug fixes aimed at enhancing user experience, accessibility, and functionality across the platform.
Among the key features in version 1.119 is a redesigned look and feel for the home page, registration, and selected informational pages. The platform also added support for One-Time Passwords (OTP) during sub-account creation and account registration, further strengthening its security protocols [1].
Improvements in the update include enhanced ticker settings that now save changes to the order of the derivative list. The color-blind theme has been refined to resolve inconsistencies in the display of sub-accounts and deposit sections. Additionally, the update disables the “Update API key permissions” button when no modifications are made, preventing unnecessary actions. The display of fiat currency balances has also been optimized to show two decimal places instead of eight, improving readability for users. OTC trading has seen interface improvements, with added icons for links and a better-placed default button for price resets [1].
On the bug-fixing front, multiple issues have been addressed. These include a fix for the balances equivalent wrap issue in the Balances widget, an error notification related to the colorblind theme, and a malfunction in the collapsible function of trading widgets when users are not authenticated. Other fixes target inconsistencies in derivatives specifications for pairs with leverage below 100x, an issue with scaled order distribution resetting upon switching between trading and derivatives, and an invalid withdrawal address input issue in security settings. Additionally, the update resolves a sorting problem on the landing page, ensuring ticker orders are based on token names rather than API names [1].
The derivatives platform referenced in this update is operated by Bitfinex Derivatives El Salvador S.A. de C.V. and is integrated into the broader Bitfinex API ecosystem, which is designed to provide full access to the exchange’s features [1].
