spot ETF landscape experienced a significant shift in mid-November 2025, with record outflows totaling $3.79 billion for the month, marking a stark contrast to earlier inflows of over $24 billion through October. On a single day, Bitcoin ETFs saw nearly $900 million in redemptions, the second-largest withdrawal since their launch in January 2024, as the cryptocurrency fell below $95,000 for the first time in six months . BlackRock's (IBIT) led the outflows, losing $355.5 million, while Grayscale's and Fidelity's shed $199 million and $190 million, respectively . This exodus was driven by profit-taking after Bitcoin's surge earlier in the year and macroeconomic pressures, including a weakening U.S. labor market, sticky inflation, and tighter liquidity conditions .The outflows underscored a broader market correction, with Bitcoin dropping to $80,657 by November 24-the lowest level since April 2025.

The trend reflected a shift in risk appetite, as global markets grappled with recession fears and uncertain monetary policy. Bloomberg's Rebecca Sin attributed the outflows to hedge funds unwinding "basis trading" strategies and institutions hedging derivative positions

CoinShares' James Butterfill added that the four-week outflow streak of $4.92 billion , though annual inflows for crypto products remained robust at $44.4 billion.Looking ahead, analysts remain divided on Bitcoin's trajectory.
