The collaboration with Ondo Finance and 1inch enables Trust Wallet to offer tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on Ethereum and Solana. Ondo Finance supplies the RWAs, while 1inch provides liquidity and pricing optimization for efficient swaps. The feature is initially available on Ethereum and Solana, with plans to expand to more blockchains and RWA providers in the future.
Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen stated that the launch aims to expand access to financial services. She emphasized that blockchain technology could create a more accessible financial system and sees this feature as one step toward that goal. The integration aligns with Trust Wallet’s philosophy of multichain and provider-agnostic approaches, ensuring users have broad access to various financial products.
However, regulatory and market access rules limit RWA availability. Trust Wallet states that RWA tokens are not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area (EEA). Swaps will fail if initiated from restricted regions, reflecting compliance constraints and issuer policies. RWA trading follows US market hours, from Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM UTC.
The integration of RWAs into self-custodial wallets marks a significant advancement in making global finance more open and efficient. By combining tokenized stocks and ETFs with decentralized liquidity solutions, Trust Wallet provides users with a practical path to tokenized market exposure while preserving issuer-based custody constraints. Watch for additional RWA providers and expanded trading features in future updates.
