Binance Launches Spot Trading for ONDO, BIGTIME, VIRTUAL with Seed Tags

Binance, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has launched spot trading for three new tokens: ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL. The trading began on April 11 at 14:00 UTC, transitioning these tokens from Binance Alpha to the main Spot Market. This move allows a broader range of traders to access these tokens on the platform.

The tokens are accompanied by a cautionary note, as Binance has attached "Seed Tags" to ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL. These tags indicate that the tokens are newer projects with higher volatility and associated risks. The Seed Tag serves as a warning label, highlighting the potential for significant price fluctuations and urging traders to exercise extra caution and implement robust risk management strategies. To trade these tokens, users must complete a risk awareness quiz every 90 days and accept Binance’s Terms of Use. This requirement applies to both Spot and Margin platforms, ensuring that traders are well-informed about the risks involved.

The decision to list these tokens was based on a thorough evaluation process. Factors considered included trading demand on Binance Futures and Binance Alpha, community voting results, historical token performance, and detailed fundamental analysis. Additional considerations such as compliance checks, risk assessments, and tokenomics stability were also part of the selection criteria. This rigorous process ensures that only tokens meeting stringent standards are listed on the platform.

Users can now start depositing ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL, with withdrawals set to begin on April 12 at 14:00 UTC. The trading pairs available include ONDO/USDT, ONDO/USDC, BIGTIME/USDT, BIGTIME/USDC, VIRTUAL/USDT, and VIRTUAL/USDC. Once spot trading begins, the purchase function on Binance Alpha will be discontinued, but the sell function will remain active, allowing holders to manage their existing positions. Users can also view their token balances in their Alpha Accounts and transfer them to Spot Accounts for continued trading.

Binance has also announced that Spot Algo Orders for ONDO, BIGTIME, and VIRTUAL will be activated at the time of listing. Trading Bots and Spot Copy Trading functionality for these pairs will be rolled out within 24 hours of the listing. Users operating Spot Copy Trading portfolios can include the new pairs by adjusting their Personal Pair Preference settings.
