Binance Launches Plume to Expand RWA Support Through HODLer Airdrop

Binance has launched Plume (PLUME), the 32nd project in its HODLer Airdrop series, as part of its ongoing strategy to expand support for real-world assets (RWAs) on the blockchain. PLUME is an EVM-compatible altcoin designed to bridge the gap between digital and physical assets. Users who held or staked BNB through Binance’s Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields programs between July 24 and July 28, 2025, are eligible for the airdrop, which will be distributed at least one hour before the token’s listing on the exchange.

Deposits for PLUME opened on August 18, 2025, at 14:30 Turkish Standard Time (TSI), with spot trading commencing later the same day at 18:00 TSI. The altcoin will be available in trading pairs with USDT, USDC, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY. Upon listing, PLUME’s initial circulating supply will be 2.65 billion out of a total maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. Binance has allocated 150 million PLUME, or 1.50% of the total supply, for the HODLer Airdrop, while 25 million will be used for marketing and 100 million will be released six months after the listing.

A Binance spokesperson highlighted that the launch is intended to enhance value for BNB stakers and demonstrate Binance’s commitment to innovation in the RWA space. The platform is also being integrated into Binance’s broader ecosystem, with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a company linked to Donald Trump, selecting Plume as the exclusive RWA chain for its USD1 stablecoin. This collaboration signals growing institutional interest in blockchain-based asset tokenization and underscores the platform’s potential for real-world application [2].
