Biden Is Calling Trump And His Supporters 'Garbage'!

As the U.S. election enters its final stretch, outgoing President Biden's trash talk has caused a great uproar. On Tuesday, Biden publicly referred to supporters of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as garbage.

Although Biden quickly clarified his remarks, the damage may already have been done. It is believed that this could hurt Harris's campaign and, in fact, provide assistance to Trump.

At an online event on Tuesday, Biden first mentioned comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who referred to Puerto Rico as a garbage island at a Trump rally in New York and made inappropriate comments about Latino and Black communities.

In response, Biden said, Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. Well, let me tell you something, I don't, I don't know the Puerto Rican that I know, the Puerto Rico where I'm fr -- in my home state of Delaware. They're good, decent honorable people.

The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American. It's totally contrary to everything we've done, everything we've been.

Biden then accused Trump of trying to divide the country "based on race" and insisted that Democratic presidential candidate Harris would be a president for all Americans. Biden also emphasized that Trump is a threat to everyone, especially the minorities in this country.

Realizing his mistake, Biden later posted on social media, Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage — which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation.

The White House also rushed to extinguish the fire, with spokesperson Andrew Bates stating that Biden's garbage referred to the hateful rhetoric at the New York rally, not the former president's supporters.

Biden's remarks were quickly condemned by the Republican Party. Senator Marco Rubio criticized, saying that Biden called our supporters garbage, but we are all ordinary people who love our country. He also demanded an immediate apology from the Biden team.

Trump's campaign team tried to capitalize on the incident, with campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt saying, There's no way to spin it: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris don't just hate President Trump, they despise the tens of millions of Americans who support him.

Elon Musk retweeted the related report and added fuel to the fire by saying, Biden just called half of America 'garbage'.

However, when Trump learned of the news at a campaign rally on Tuesday, he said to his supporters sarcastically, You have to please forgive him. Please forgive him, for he not knowing what he said.

Democrats and Republicans often accuse each other of hate speech and demonization. Some conservatives compared Biden's garbage remarks to Hillary Clinton's comments in 2016, who described Trump's supporters as a basket of deplorables.

No one can predict how Biden's garbage remarks will affect the final election results. However, in the final week of a deadlocked campaign, even a few imprecise words can have significant political consequences, and in this case, Biden's true meaning may not matter.

Moreover, regardless of Biden's intent, his remarks run counter to the advice of two former presidents to Democrats. Former Democratic Presidents Clinton and Obama previously pleaded with activists at the Democratic National Convention to wage political battles against Trump but not to disrespect his supporters.

In this closely contested election, neither Harris nor Trump can afford mistakes, and the campaign may ultimately hinge on a few thousand votes in swing states. The history of U.S. presidential elections is filled with unexpected incidents that seemed insignificant at the time but could have broader implications, such as Hillary Clinton's comment of a basket of deplorables.
