Benchmark International Secures Naming Rights for Tampa Bay's Iconic Sports Venue

Vinik Sports Group (VSG) and Benchmark International, a global leader in mergers and acquisitions, have announced a landmark multi-year naming rights partnership for Tampa Bay's iconic sports and entertainment venue. Starting August 13, 2025, AMALIE Arena will officially be known as Benchmark International Arena. This venture aims to transition the venue into a new era marked by innovation, community engagement, and global recognition.

Benchmark International is renowned for its strategic guidance in mergers and acquisitions, having completed over $12.5 billion in transaction value across multiple sectors. With headquarters in Tampa and offices worldwide, the firm is committed to delivering exceptional results for business owners and operators globally. This new partnership underscores its commitment to the Tampa Bay area, aligning with VSG's dedication to service and community impact.

The partnership will initiate a comprehensive rebranding of the arena. This includes updating exterior and interior signage, digital integrations, and renaming the premium club level to Benchmark International Club Level, featuring "The Mark" as its signature all-inclusive experience. Furthermore, the agreement provides for over $3 million in non-profit financial contributions to support community initiatives aimed at making a meaningful impact in Tampa Bay.

As we transition to this new era, we express gratitude to our former naming rights partner, AMALIE Motor Oil, which will continue its support as a corporate partner."

The arena, affectionately originally known as the Ice Palace, has served as a centerpiece for Tampa's sports and entertainment district since 1996. Over the years, it has hosted millions of fans at events ranging from Stanley Cup Championships to concerts and professional wrestling. This new partnership ensures continued investment in the guest experience while paying homage to the arena’s legacy as a world-class venue.

The phased rollout of the rebrand will see new signage and activations debuting ahead of the 2025-26 Lightning season, presented by AdventHealth. As part of the celebration, VSG and Benchmark International have planned a series of free community events in mid-October. Details of these events will be announced soon.

Oak View Group’s Global Partnerships division played a pivotal role in developing this partnership, linking world-class brands with premier live event destinations. Additional sponsorship details, including new food and beverage offerings in collaboration with Oak View Group, are slated for announcement as the 2025-26 Lightning season approaches.

Vinik Sports Group, spearheaded by Jeff Vinik, manages the Tampa Bay Lightning and holds leasehold rights to Benchmark International Arena. Since Vinik’s leadership began in 2010, the organization has seen a complete brand transformation, supported by both Doug Ostrover and Marc Lipschultz, who joined the ownership group recently, alongside Arctos, an early supporter.
