Battlefield 6 Unveils Revolutionary Multiplayer and Kinesthetic Combat System

The game will feature a unique combat system, new multiplayer maps and modes, and an Open Beta in August. The game introduces a "Kinesthetic Combat System," which includes new movement and gunplay features such as dragging and reviving teammates on the go, mounting weapons on walls, and peeking around corners. This system aims to enhance the overall combat experience by adding more dynamic and interactive elements.

Battlefield 6 will return to its classic class system, featuring Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer classes, each with unique weapons and gadgets. The game will also include a variety of multiplayer modes, such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, and a new mode called Escalation. Additionally, the Portal sandbox mode from Battlefield 2042 will be returning, allowing players to create their own maps and game modes.

EA has strategically planned the release of Battlefield 6 to avoid a crowded market, giving the game a clearer runway. The company has chosen to launch Battlefield 6 in October, avoiding potential competition with other major game releases such as Grand Theft Auto 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

The game will be available for preorder now, with a price of $69.99 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA app), and PS5. EA has committed to avoiding $80 games, ensuring that Battlefield 6 remains accessible to a broader audience.

The Open Beta for Battlefield 6 will be available on August 7-8 for early access, followed by weekends of August 9-10 and August 14-17 for the general public. The beta will provide players with an opportunity to test the game's features and provide feedback before the official release.

Electronic Arts has invested heavily in Battlefield 6, aiming to bring the franchise back into a positive spotlight after the disappointment of Battlefield 2042.
