Banks Target High-Income Consumers with New Elite Credit Cards

Citi has launched a new premium credit card, the Citi Strata Elite Card, with an annual fee of $595 and additional fees for authorized users. The card offers 12 times the points on hotels, car rentals, and attractions, and six times the points on flights and restaurants. The card also includes a $300 hotel credit, a $200 "splurge" credit, and up to $120 towards Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees. The card is targeted towards high-income consumers and comes with significant perks.

Citi has introduced a new premium credit card, the Citi Strata Elite Card, with an annual fee of $595 and additional fees for authorized users. This card is designed to cater to high-income consumers, offering a suite of travel and dining benefits along with significant perks.

The Citi Strata Elite Card provides 12 times the points on hotels, car rentals, and attractions booked through the Citi Travel platform. It also offers 6 times the points on air travel booked through Citi Travel and 6 times the points at restaurants every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. ET. Additionally, cardholders earn 1.5 times the points on all other purchases.

The card includes several valuable lifestyle benefits, such as an annual hotel benefit of up to $300, a $200 annual splurge credit, and up to $120 towards Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees. It also offers additional perks for American Airlines customers, including four Admirals Club passes annually and the ability to transfer Citi ThankYou® Points into American Airlines AAdvantage® miles.

For those who fly with American Airlines, the card provides even more benefits, such as four Admirals Club passes annually and the ability to transfer points into AAdvantage miles. Additionally, cardholders receive complimentary Priority Pass Select™ membership, access to The Reserve by Citi Travel, and no foreign transaction fees.

The Citi Strata Elite Card also includes travel and shopping protections, such as trip delay protection, enhanced trip cancellation and interruption protection, lost or damaged luggage protection, and more. The card is part of Citi's family of rewards credit cards, which includes the Citi Strata Card and Citi Strata Premier Card.
