Three Banks Slash Mortgage Rates for First-Time Buyers

Three major banks, Santander, NatWest, and Barclays, have cut mortgage rates for first-time buyers with smaller deposits. Santander reduced rates by up to 0.32 percentage points across two, three, and five-year deals, while NatWest and Barclays lowered their rates by up to 0.12 and 0.32 percentage points, respectively. The changes are aimed at making mortgages more affordable for first-time buyers with deposits between 5 and 15%.
