Yes Bank and Union Bank Set to Enter Nifty Bank Index Amid Changes in Composition Methodology

Yes Bank and Union Bank of India will enter NSE's Nifty Bank index, expanding it to 14 stocks from 12. The changes are part of Sebi's move to reduce the influence of any stock or a set of stocks on indices. HDFC and ICICI may see outflows, while SBI may see inflows. Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research estimates total outflows from HDFC and ICICI worth $670 million by March.
