Bank Leumi Announces Q2 2025 Dividend, Share Buyback Totaling NIS 1.3 Billion

Bank Leumi announced a dividend of NIS 1.3 billion ($386 million) for Q2 2025, consisting of a cash dividend of NIS 979 million ($290 million) and a share buyback of NIS 326 million ($97 million). The dividend and share buyback represent 50% of the net income for the quarter.

Bank Leumi (OTC: BLMIF) has reported robust financial results for the second quarter of 2025, highlighting a 15% increase in net income year-over-year to NIS 2.6 billion ($774 million). The bank's return on equity (ROE) stood at 16.2%, while maintaining an efficiency ratio of 26.9%, one of the lowest in the global financial system.

A key highlight of the quarter was Bank Leumi's decision to distribute a 50% dividend, amounting to NIS 1.3 billion ($386 million). This dividend comprises a cash dividend of NIS 979 million ($290 million) and a share buyback of NIS 326 million ($97 million), representing 50% of the net income for the quarter [1].

The bank demonstrated strong growth in its loan portfolio and public deposits. The loan portfolio increased by 5.7%, while public deposits grew by 7.7%. Loan quality remained exceptional, with a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of just 0.43%, one of the lowest in the banking system [2].

Bank Leumi's financial indicators remained robust, with a Tier 1 capital ratio of 12.3% and a liquidity coverage ratio of 130%. The bank also implemented various relief initiatives during Operation "Rising Lion" at an estimated cost of NIS 85 million ($25 million) [2].
