Brazilian banks with exposure to Raízen are pressuring its parent company, Cosan, and advisor BTG Pactual for better terms in the restructuring of the sugar and ethanol company's debt. Bradesco has intensified its pressure, demanding clearer commitments from Cosan, which may hinder plans to list its gas unit, Compass. Itaú may adopt a harder stance in negotiations, threatening to restrict credit access for Cosan's ecosystem if all parties do not share the burden of Raízen's financial restructuring. Banks are seeking a higher value from Shell, which has agreed to contribute R$3.5 billion.
