The hacker targeted the "manageUserBalance" function, bypassing sender validation, and drained funds from vaults across multiple chains, including Berachain. Berachain has paused its operations to address the issue, and Ethereum layer-2s may shut down temporarily to fix the flaw in the Balancer v2 code.
